Project Description

The Proposed section of NH-70 starts from Hamirpur (district) town and ends at Mandi (district) town, measuring 124 km in length. The entire alignment runs in hilly terrain and geometrics of present road are not satisfactory. The alignment passes through five major towns i.e. Jaunidevi, Samirpur, Abhadevi, Dharampur and Kotli in Himachal Pradesh. The existing carriage way varies from 3m to 3.75m and there lies one major steel truss bridge in km 196 at Shidwala having length of 113.25m and two minor bridges in Km 185 and 241. The main objective of the consultant is to establish the technical environmental, social, economical & financial liability of the project and to prepare DPR for rehabilitation, upgrading of the existing road to 2-lane/2-lane with paved shoulders configuration and its strengthening. The report includes pavement design, rehabilitation of existing bridges. Construction of new bridges and structures.(Length: 103.25 Km.)
